offers 8-Port Terminal Server products, PS810, from SENA Technologies,
Inc. The PS810 is an 8-Port Terminal Server that supports
RS232/422/485 serial communication, allowing virtually any asynchronous
serial device to be accessed over a network via its DB9 serial port, and
handles serial data transfer rate up to 230Kbit/s. On the Ethernet side,
the PS810 features 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet interface and supports
static and dynamic IP address. Dynamic DNS protocol is supplied for
floating IP environments to allow access via a static domain name.
The PS810 supports
modem emulation mode over SSL encryption. This unique
feature provides secure serial modem emulation, accepting AT commands in
an encrypted format to connect and communicate with serial devices. It
means that equipment that was designed only for modem access can now
communicate securely to its corresponding software application across
the Ethernet.
When working with the Serial/IP COM port redirector, the PS810 generates
lower overall latency that is required to operate industrial and control
applications reliably, with maximum throughput.
For secure data communication between a client and a server, SSL and RC4
encryption features are provided. In addition, HTTPS for secure data
transfer over the web, and IP filtering controls the access to serial
devices |
